PH strips 1-14 - Nahita
In each package you will find 80 strips and a table of colors to compare results. Depending on the color that appears on the strip you will know the pH degree of your hygiene and cosmetic products.
Nahita pH strips have a wide range of assessment ranging from 1 to 14 with 7 being a neutral pH.
How to measure the pH:
1-Enter the pH strip on the product you want to measure. (If it is a dry product such as a bar of soap, wet it and foam first.)
2-The color change of the pH strip compare with the color chart that appears inside the package.
3-Validate that your product has the correct pH for use, if not, act as follows:
- If the pH of your product is low and you have to raise it, use a 50% solution of water and bicarbonate. Make sure the solution is well integrated and with a pipette add a drop in the product to raise the pH. Integrate and measure the pH again. Perform the above process as many times as necessary until the pH rises to the desired range.
- If the pH of your product is high and you have to lower it, use lactic acid. With a pipette add a drop in the product to lower the pH. Integrate and measure the pH again. Perform the above process as many times as necessary until the pH is lowered to the desired range.
1-3 indicates a very acid substance.
4-6 indicates an acid substance.
7 indicates neutral.
8-11 indicates alkalinity.
12-14 indicates a very high level of alkalinity.
