L-arginine is an amino acid that occurs naturally in the skin. It is an excellent moisturizer (NMF), supports the skin's barrier function, and is compatible with most cosmetic ingredients. Due to its alkaline pH, it is used in place of NaOH or sodium bicarbonate to raise the pH (in a 10% solution) in formulations.

Obtaining: Arginine is an amino acid obtained by biofermentation. It is one of the main components of hair keratin and acts as a source of nitrogen for proper cell function, generating a vasodilator effect that improves circulation.
