Our lactic acid is a naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acid produced by bacterial (various lactobacilli) fermentation of carbohydrates (sugar, starch). Rejuvenates the skin by promoting the shedding of old cells from the skin's surface. It can reduce the appearance of fine lines, uneven pigmentation, age spots, and diminishes large pores. Suitable for sensitive skin and first time peel users. Lactic acid is often used in creams and lotions at a lower concentration for a gentler acid-based exfoliation. It is also used in masks and cleansers. It is vegan and non-GMO, with no preservatives.

Appearance: Colorless or yellowish, almost odourless, syrupy liquid with an acid taste, formed by a mixture of lactic acid and lactic acid lactate.

Does not contain materials of human or animal origin, including products of bovine origin. Precautions: Do not apply on bare skin, irritated or eczematous skin, eyes, and mucous membranes.

Dosage Topical route,

• 0.5 - 5% as a moisturizing agent,
• 5 - 10% as an anti-wrinkle or peeling agent,
• 10% as a bactericidal agent in neonates, and
• > 10% for the treatment of warts and hyperkeratosis.
• As an acidifying agent, at 0.015 - 6.6%.

Incompatibilities: Oxidizing agents, iodides, albumin. Reacts violently with hydrofluoric and nitric acids. Carbopol gels and anionic emulsions.
