Natural marine collagen acts as a protective and moisturizing agent. Contains soluble native collagen derived from fish skin with an intact structure, that is, identical to the skin. It offers water retention capacity and affinity for the skin's keratin. It is especially suitable for the care of dry, UV-exposed and environmentally stressed skin, as well as aging skin. It is used in aqueous and emulsified skin care formulations. Due to its intact triple helix structure, derived from fish skin it has retained both its characteristic water retention capacity and its affinity for the skin's keratin, thus providing the skin with a protective moisturizing shield.

Natural marine collagen is sensitive to heat and should therefore be added to emulsified preparations only after cooling to 25 °C. The emulsion will then act as a protective matrix that prevents the collagen from denaturing. Keep the formula at an acidic pH in the range of 4.5 to 6.5.
