Cyperus rotundus root extract, Nagarmotha, acts as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial agent. It is an extract from the tubers of nutgran, cyperus rotundus. It contains α-cyperone, coumarins, tannins, flavonoids and sesquiterpenoids as active compounds.

Nagarmotha powder has a pleasant woody and spicy aroma. Ideal for our Ayurvedic blends for hair and skin.

It can be added to Ayurvedic shampoos for its cleansing ability. In our hair it controls the production of dandruff, regulating the production of sebum and cleansing the scalp. Stimulates hair growth and achieves a natural shine. Doesn't thicken hair. It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, soothing the itchiness and irritation of the scalp. It adapts to every type of skin. Mixed with henna and other plants, it provides a soft hazel tone. Helps restore skin pigmentation by activating natural melanin. Balances dry and oily skin. Helps eliminate stains and provides luminosity.

How to use:

Hair masks: Mix with other powders and prepare a paste with hot water. Let marinate for about 15 minutes. Apply to wet hair, cover and leave for 20/45 minutes. Rinse with plenty of water. Rinse with apple cider vinegar water.

Skin masks: Always mix with other powders and prepare a paste with hot water. Let marinate and cool. Apply to the skin, do not let it dry. Holds moisture. Leave to act between 10/15 minutes.
It blends very well with Multani Mitti or Ghassoul. We can add honey, vegetable oils or oral waters.

Precautions: * It is a very active powder, so we always recommend doing a 48 hr sensitivity test. Before its use.
* Always use it mixed with other powdered plants when applying to hair or skin, especially sensitive skin.
