Carnauba Wax T1

INCI: Copernicia Cerífera (Carnauba) Wax

CAS No. 8015-86-9
EC No. 232-399-4

Description
Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax is a wax obtained from the leaves and buds of the leaves of Copernicia cerifera, Palmaceae. It is a complex mixture made up of aliphatic esters (wax esters), α-hydroxyl esters and cinnamic aliphatic diesters, and also contains free acids, free alcohols, hydrocarbons and resins.

Carnauba wax is one of the hardest and highest melting natural waxes with a clean structure, high crystallinity and oil binding ability.

Carnauba wax acts as a co-emulsifier, film former, and consistency agent. Helps prevent an emulsion from separating into its oily and liquid components, especially products that require a creamy consistency. Carnauba wax increases the thickness of the lipid (oil) portion of solid and stick products by giving them structure, allowing a smooth application and keeping them solid. It hardens giving flexibility and plasticity to the product you want to make.
