Calcium oxide, is a chemical compound, also known as lime or quicklime.
Calcium oxide can be found in nature; of the agglomeration of sea water, which has high concentrations of calcium carbonate and magnesium. These concentrations, through chemical reactions and physicochemical processes, produce calcium hydroxide and once calcined calcium oxide is produced.
